You can buy a Medicare Supplement plan now with WPS which will be a like-to-like plan compared to what you have now with WEA Trust. The WPS rates are the same via our agency vs. going direct to WPS, so we can help you now if the rates are competitive. If you are happy with your Medicare Prescription drug plan (PDP), that plan should auto-renew in 2023. If you are not happy with your plan, we can help you review your PDP after 10/1/22. We will need this form filled out to review your PDP plan. 2 options to get the form to us- Click Here 1: You will download the Adobe form, print it off, fill out the form and mail it to our office. 2: You can also save it to the computer, open the form, type your info on the form, save it to the computer, and then email it to info@thbwi.com.
If WPS rates are not competitive now, then we can find you a different Medicare Supplement plan with a different carrier.
We can run rates now and review your options; however, we cannot apply for that new carrier until after 10/1/22 (for a 1/1/2023 effective date). Save the termination letter you have received as we will need a copy of this letter after 10/1/22 with the new Medicare Supplement plan you choose.
If WPS rates are not competitive, we can ask you a few health questions, and see if you can pass underwriting to get you an earlier effective date with a different Medicare Supplement carrier. NOTE: You have a guaranteed issue right, all pre-existing conditions are covered with any carrier of your choice starting 1/1/2023 or earlier with WPS.
With WPS you do not have to wait for a 1/1/2023 effective date, we can help you enroll now with the first of the month effective dates from 8/1/22 through 1/1/23. If you make the change before 1/1/2023 then you will need to put it in writing to WEA Trust and disenroll in writing a letter to: WEA Trust, PO Box 211438, Eagan, MN 55121.
